Dear Customer,
To enhance cluster stability, security, and feature availability, we will perform a scheduled upgrade on the Kubernetes cluster as required by AWS official guidelines. Below are the details of this upgrade:
[Upgrade Schedule] August 4, 2025, 14:00–16:00 (Beijing Time)
[Expected Impact] The control plane upgrade will not affect pod operations on worker nodes, so no impact is anticipated.
Worker node upgrades will trigger pod restarts, which may cause partial service timeouts or unavailability during the process.
Upgrades to core components (kube-proxy, aws-node, and CoreDNS) will also lead to pod restarts, potentially resulting in temporary service timeouts or unavailability.
[Mitigation Measures] To minimize the impact on your business, please prioritize the following precautions:
Ensure service resilience by implementing exponential backoff retry mechanisms and circuit breaker/downgrade policies on the calling side.
Perform full backups of critical data in advance and establish verification mechanisms to ensure data integrity.
Strengthen monitoring metric thresholds and establish a tiered emergency response process.
